Long before they entered into the mortal realm, the Kaniagi were powerful spirits. All of them were created and cared for by the wise and almighty Mother Kaniagi. Unlike her many children, she could harness the power of all elements. Since time immemorial, she has used these divine powers to protect nature and foster peace between mankind and the wild.

While the Kaniagi are weaker now that they are separated from the Mother's domain, some can temporarily assume a spirit form known as a Force Projection. It is thought that this power is a gift from the Mother Kaniagi herself. Her reason for bestowing such an ability is unknown, though it seems to occur near times of crisis when the balance of nature is threatened.

It has been many decades since anyone has seen the Mother Kaniagi with their own eyes, but some claim to have heard her voice in recent years. What is she trying to tell her descendants, and why will she not make her presence known? Only time will tell.
