And the money shot...er, the splash page I mean. Personally, I feel this is one of the absolute best things I have ever drawn, but I've been proven I'm alone in this belief.

The biggest significance of this, however, is that it's the only time we see Ctheresa Lovecraft, my Cthulhu K-Girl, IN-CHARACTER as opposed to glassily staring out into space. It's easy to overlook, considering the only actual picture of her that anyone's seen for years was a nude drawn before she had a personality, that she's not only an adult (a "K-MILF" as they're called nowadays, even though she has no kids) but she's one who runs herd over an entire SCHOOL full of kaijumorphed teenagers, protecting them from each other and ESPECIALLY from the "human" world. Just like her source monster is the visible face and harbinger of the Old Ones, Headmistress Lovecraft was the first kaijumorph in her universe and remains their most visible representative in a hostile environment that sees them as living reminders of the Great Beasts of decades past, the rampaging monsters who killed millions and destroyed lives and property without even noticing the tiny screaming things they stepped on. Titanium steel wishes it were as hard as her spine, and more than one bureaucrat has lost a lot more than just a good night's sleep or a few popularity points trying to cross her or harm her "kids."

After the Academy folded, I offered her as a principal for the K-Girls, but, like very other suggestion I make that isn't backed up by Jpalo's incredible CG skills, it was totally ignored. Still, she's one of my most underrated creations, and one of the few things about "The Academy" that I'm actually proud of.
