I made this from two bathrobes the costume shop was disposing of, some buttons from an ugly dress, and curtain chain. The back was an experiment in gathering the back of a vest and letting the sides flair out to connect to the underarm. I accidentally made it a bit shorter than I had meant to, so it's too short even to e a proper cutaway, but c'est la vie.

This would work on it's own for like, gay disco chiq, but could also look pretty crisp paired with a shirt and tie of some sort, I think.
It's a really nice balance of feminine and masculine. The buttons are really vivid but don't scream too loud plus they are turquoise and silver which is always good. It is sorta twenties, but I have seen shoes in Mid seventies playboy ads that would look really bitchin with this (provided that 'so awful it's beautiful' is your personal thang)

I had actually made it to wear with my cutaways, which are a very twenties thing. But the seventies disco idea isn't a bad one, it would wok quite well with all the ridiculousness from that group.
