A slice-of-life scene from Haven - the Preserve specifically. The Meraci-Quva, SkyFlitSerenade, is transporting Apaika & two others on a routine ecological observation mission into Xiki-Tazu, infamous for being the most hostile living environment where even the lighteaters (plants) want to eat you. (one may notice looking at a previous scene that Apaika owns several Zet-Xiki as pets)

VisceraKillScream, having insisted on coming along, wanted to spend time with one of the wild Meraci-Xaki directly. Lushaida very much didn't but Apaika peer pressured her into it anyway. The group went hunting & picked up a fresh delicious corpse as an offering, as is custom so that they won't be eaten instead.

VisceraKillScream really came because it wanted to scream at the other one, just this screeching cavalcade that sounds like ear rending nonsense, probably is some deep thing of them mindlinking and exchanging vast amounts of information like dial-up tones communicating but mainly it is just screaming. Everyone else knows better than to question their habits. Apaika doesn't even think about it anymore, just habitually reaches into her pack for some earplugs.

The chromaharmonic wild Meraci language (combination of hololight and high pitched sounds) here is translated as such:
