I watched the Joy of Painting with Bob Ross last weekend, and let me tell you. I haven't watched that show since I was like... four? So I painted some trees in like... a tundra environment?
Like, ok, I live in Colorado, and when you go up waaay above the tree line in the mountians, the vegetation changes... like the plants are all stumpy and it's cold as hell... and I cannot for the life of me remember what that type of environment is called. But it's one of my most favorite places to go, so I painted it.
My husband doesn't like how there's no focal point, but I like it. Makes me feel like I'm looking outside a window.
Acrylics on the lid of a wood box.

The ground is my favorite part, too!
In the box, I used to have like... old trinkets/memories... like old photos of places and pets and an old deer antler... but the box is bulky and the lid didn't shut right, so I moved my crap to another box and used the lid for this! I'm gonna use the bottom part for another painting, but I have to shave the sides down.
