Some of the different types of weapons that will be seen in Naron (The middle continent of Droran)
I'm playing with the thought to make a role-play-game from this world.
The background is made of black tea and cofee.
The Krumma:(One hand)
The krumma is used as a secundary weapon. It's shorter than it's longer cusin The Oakman. It looks short and stubby but has a superb balance and can be handled very quickly. They can normaly be seen among the archers of the Imperial army.
The Oakman: (one hand)
Who was the Oakman? Some say he was a hero of old, others that he was the firts maker of these first class warswords. It's simple apperance is weight up by it's brilliant funktionality. It's the soldiers best friend after the person beside him.
The Rider Longsword: (one hand)
The longswords of the Imperial cavalery is a bit different from it's shorter brother, The Oakman. Not only is it longer so the horseman can reach his enemies, it also has a bit of a different balance. The point of balance is placed higher from the handle, wich gives a heavier blow when swung from horseback.
The Gim. (one hand)
The Gim-sword is a very delicate weapon. It's perfectly designed for thrusting but has a blade sturdy enought for slashing. It's a noblemans sword and tells of great prestige and honor. A gim swordsman is often a master of its art.
The Pu Gim (two/oneandahalf hand)
To be a two handed sword, the long Pu Gim sword has a very light feeling to it. The balance is placed just above the handle, giving the user best possible control. The masters of these swords has become legend throughout the hundreds of years. They're very popular in rich families and noblemen.
The Naronian Kopis. (one hand)
It is said to come from a barbarian tribe, maybe the Tarian people with their brutal way of making weapons. The word "Kopis" does actually mean "I cut".
It's basicly ment for hacking and disembling bodyparts. It's quite heavy for a singlehanded sword, wich can result in a deadly blow, when it finds it's target.
And that's it for now^^ Thanks for watching.
I just wanna say that the most of the weapons I show you have historical background in our own history. I can say that I'm not just making stuff up. I think it's funnier if it actually worked in real life.
