Use self-destruct

The fact that Pokemon that can self-destruct can just waltz about in public within the Pokemon universe tells me that this is a world full of insane people.

That is considerably impressive, especially with what you had to work with. Very interesting. o.o

Y'know, if I added a little curley-q of hair to Electrode, he'd look like Charlie Brown.

Pretty impressive using Voltorb and Electrode, I kinda doubt they've been done before xD

This was originally inspired by this one picture I saw where someone drew a bunch of pokemon as "scary" creatures, and Electrode was this round cyborg-ball with a glass dome full of explosives. Can't seem to find it, unfortunately.

Today, I was thinking about this when I suddenly had a thought; Magnemite and Magneton. They're even less anthropomorphic! At least Electrode and Voltorb stay on the ground and have the right number of eyes!

Ok, I think I thought up a good image for both of 'em. I'll need to try my hand at sketching them, though they may be a bit ambitious for me.

I might try my hand at them too, eventually.

I failed at doing them. :P Though I had a clear design, I'm just not good enough a drawing proportions, perspective, and figures to get them on to paper. Or png file.

For Magnemite, a bald head and a gray 'cleanroom suit' that covers everything but their hands, feet, and eyes would give them the right overall look. Over their eyes, perhaps they have on a white visor or wearable computer. Their arms could be cybernetic and end in two-pronged claws and/or maybe they're constantly carrying around vague techie stuff, with lots of antennae, not-fully-tightened screws, and satellite dishes.

For Magneton, I'm wasn't going to take the cheap way out and just put three of what I'd already made together and say it's something brand new. Instead, I was going to put two of the Magnemite technicians side by side and have a 'head researcher' scientist standing behind them, who I envisioned looking almost exactly like Professor Membrane from Invader Zim. He'd wear a gray lab coat with a collar that goes up to his nose and stand about a head taller then his lab tech underlings. I was in debate over a lot of design issues for him, like whether or not to give him a single shock of gray hair, maybe in the shape of a screw. Instead of a visor, he'd either wear those nerdy anime glasses with the spirals in them or just a pair of white goggles. I was also wondering on whether he should actually be taller then the techies or be seated in a levitating, Professor X style chair that just makes him look that way.

That's a pretty cool idea. My biggest hurdle with Magnamite is trying to figure out what to do with those magnet hands.

Yeah. I originally thought to just ignore them and give them regular hands, then the idea of giving them cybernetic arms or gloves or something came to me.

Personally, the challenge for me is to try and make them fully human, without resorting to cybernetics/magic unless it would be really necessary. Gloves might work- give them gray gloves with red and blue fingers.

Yeah, it would be a bit too easy to just go 'a wizard/mechanic did it' route. Gloves like that would be the least cheap option.
