For Thursday Prompt.
Oh-ho-ho-ho, guys... I thought last week's assignment was difficult. How wrong I was! For the first time it occurred to me to stop doing stories for Thursday Prompt. However, with my balls in my fist (pardon the vulgar pun), I did write a short story about a dog who loses his lover but gets an offer to join the superhero team.

We can empathize with Milo immediately, since loneliness is a grim and horrifying road to walk down. The longer you are on it, the more intense the symptoms of desolation become. Very risky to your mental health.
The note left for Milo is pretty brutal. Ken couldn't even speak to Milo in person and explain why their relationship can't continue, that complete lack of respect is impossible to ignore. That's going to sting for quite a while.
I like how Milo responds internally to the letter, showing some aggression with the 'world of hurt' comment. It's admirable that he is able to withstand any significant sadness from the letter, and instead replaces it with anger.
Luckily Milo has some new ventures on the horizon! This new membership in the Night Watch should help keep his mind off of the recent breakup with Ken.
