Artist's Note (Copy and Pasted from original submission):
"Growing up, the Lion King was my favorite movie, and I fell in love with a lot of fan-made comics when I began exploring art online, especially on DA. I had a lot of amazing inspiration, and came up with my own stories. For a long time, I've had this developing story of a small coastal pride, with my main character Samaki, who endures a lot of hardships throughout her life. Over the years I've still been thinking about it, and childhood me always hoped to create my very own comic for my characters, especially once my art became actually decent. So, here's my attempt at seeing that dream through.
I don't really care if it becomes popular or anything, since mostly I'm just creating it for me. There's no canon characters, so it's to be expected that it may not take off anyway."
