Dr. Furbelow's a doctor attached to the United States Public Health Service. His job is to prowl the Wild West in the waning years of the Nineteenth Century, tracking down furs who would sap the vitality of the people carving a civilization out of the howling wilderness and bringing them in for treatment or imprisonment as dangers to society.

So, yes, he's a frontier gynecologist, and is the main character of my story Collecting a Bounty, seen exclusively on FA.
