Nightflare, also known as the guardian of the forests, is a protector of nature. Often called a child of Enki, the lord of Earth, Nightflare is not a god or demigod. They are often worshipped as one by those who live in the forests they protect. They discourage this whenever they can. They do not see themselves as a deity but they do get along with certain ones. Especially the six elemental lords.

They have a blue succulent that produces red glowing pollen. The flower lures insects with a red hallucinogen and dissolves them with their tail leaves like a true carnivorous plant. Though they are kind to those living in their forests, they are a predator and will hunt those who threaten all that is under their care. They can exhale toxic fumes when threatened.

A unique feature to Nightflare is their ability to pollinate plants that bestow medicinal properties on those plants. They are most likely to do this when diseases spread in their territory.

They do not know how long they will live and have travelled to other worlds when the one they live on can no longer support life.
