I have a lot of ideas regarding Cinnamon Cookie's backstory. Here's the gist of his teenage years:
In his youth, Cinnamon Cookie was a lot like his nephew Wizard Cookie: studious, ambitious, and determined to master the art of magic. However, the difference between him and Wizard Cookie, as he discovered, is a lack of "natural talent." Try as he might, channeling the chaotic energy of magic was impossible for Cinnamon Cookie. He also had difficulty understanding advanced subjects no matter how hard he studied. In the end, Cinnamon Cookie took comfort in perfecting basic, first-level illusion spells. He dropped out of the Parfaedia Institute of Magic and called himself a "magician," much to the chagrin of his professors and other practicing wizards. Regardless of whether they earn the approval of others (including his uptight nephew), Cinnamon Cookie's silly magic tricks make him happier than he ever was in school.
