created as a gardner for a facility that creates bioweapons, one day BT (short for Berrythorn) stopped by a rather peculiar fruit, he messed around with it for a bit before it he found out that it was one infected by one of the extremely experimental bioweapons created by the facility
it was too late, as BT started noticing red and blue blemishes slowly form around his body and tail, he had become the bioweapon himself
BT became a sort of warrior for the facility, protecting it from enemies until the facility grew larger
his weapon of choice was his garden reaper, but he also carried around a pouch at his side that would hold fruits laced with whatever he felt like that day, poison, nitroglycerin, or just nothing so he can save them as a snack
BT still enjoys gardening in his free time, but he's now much much more than what his original purpose was
