KNY's 3rd season has finally started for real! And to commemorate its official simulcast debut I've worked my furry screenshot magic once again to draw more scenes from S3E1's Upper Moon Meeting.
Everyone gets an anthrocanon form!
First off with the big boss Muzan Kibutsuji, i already did a quick doodle of him as a wolf! Nothing too special or deep about that choice. i just thought it would be neat. (Plus with a certain dreamworks movie showing just how scary wolf characters can be....happy coincidence? Maybe. XD)
Upper Moon 5, Gyokko, is a fish to match both his creepy appearance and his aquatic-themed blood demon art.
Upper Moon 4, Hantengu is a bat! I will admit this one was more of a stretch. I can't quite put my finger on WHY I chose that animal for him, but considering what he has in store for the rest of this arc, I'm sure it can work nicely. >u>
Upper Moons 3 and 2 need no introduction since i've drawn their respective headcanons before! Clearly my two favorites of the whole group and it shows. >W>
Upper Moon 1, Kokushibo, is a stag! This one I had to really think long and hard about - i wanted something that can look majestic as fuck but also pretty intimidating - and a deer with large imposing antlers kinda works! Plus, since this means Yoriichi would ALSO be a deer...hey, considering my choice of headcanon for Muzan, it adds a little extra sprinkling of **SYMBOLISM~*
Once more like the other screenshot redraws - I mainly just took the original screencaps and cleaned them up, and added the redrawn characters on top. >u>
I'm very happy with the final results! The entire scene blew me away the first time i saw it so i really wanted to do it justice. <3

Awesome versions! Hantengu fits totally as a bat and Kokushibo as a stag just shows how majestic and honorable the person is. And Gyokko is even creepier in this version that the anime one. Imagine what his true form would be like. What would Gyotaro and Daki animal versions be? Yoriichi could have been a dragon because his sun style is the foundation of demon slayers. Plus I asked just full body render of Doma and Akaza as a render not a reference sheet.
Aaaa thank! <33 I do try to put some thought into my headcanons although sometimes it's more of a case of throwing stuff to the wall and hoping it sticks. XD
I do have personal rules about my choice of headcanons, for my KNY anthroverse I try to avoid mythical creatures and stick to animals based in the real world....but I will admit, Yoriichi as an eastern dragon would be awesome <3
I imagined Gyutaro and Daki as weasels, especially for the former since he wields sickles...so like a kamaitachi but not really. XD
(One of these days I'll eventually draw either Doma or Akaza in a suitable full body shot...favoritism allows for more art i guess lololol)
