The Langob'Isda dwell in the coastal caves of Eayn, forming societies deep in the dark, damp warrens.  The extent of their society is difficult to ascertain due to the remote locations they call home.  

"Geckos" are notable for their oversized eyes, slimy skin, and bioluminescent quills.  Langob'Isda seclusion from the rest of Kig-Yar society has also been driven by the tendency some Kig-Yar have for poaching their kin for these quills.

The Langob'Isda rarely associate with outsiders outside of trade excursions where they exchange resources from the cave system for technology.  Despite this , many Langob'Isda were recruited, sometimes forcibly, by the Covenant military due to their uncanny ability to track in the dark. Notable, Geckos were seen at the battle of Installation 04.

After the Great Schism, widespread desertion by the Langob'Isda was reported by Covenant commanders, but the neither side in the civil war had the resources or inclination to siege the labyrinthine cave system in an attempt to punish their absconded soldiers. The Banished have made attempts to forcibly recruit Geckos, but the only result appears to be higher than normal reports of Langob'Isda traders selling salvaged Banished equipment and a disturbing number of Langob'Isda militia carrying their distinctive red weaponry.
