After having lunch with one of the girls, Stanley made his way back up to his and Aberash's shared office area.
Bringing with him the strawberry-banana smoothie she had so politely asked him for.
Stanley: "Here you go Abby, you sure you don't mind me calling you that?"
Aberash: "Of course I don't mind Mr. Baker, all my friends call me Abby. It's just easier for folks around here to say."
Darlene knocked at her boss's door. "Sir, may I come in?" The svelte Doberman asked.
Stanley: "Come right in little darlin, you know you don't have to knock."
Darlene: "Sir, I was wondering if you will be needing my services into the evening today?"
Stanley: "Always the formal one ain't ya? Yes you can get off early, I know you and Stephanie want to go see that new...What was the name of that movie again? Wait don't tell me, The Super Luigi Brothers Movie?"
Darlene chuckled. "Close enough sir, I appreciate it. Don't worry I'll have Steph back before dark."
Stanley: "No problem, you girls sure get along great. I'm glad I hired you on the team."
Darlene: "Me too sir, want me to go get you and Abby some coffee from that little place down the road?"
Stanley: "That sounds pretty good, remember I like it with.."
Darlene: "No cream, no sugar, and one pump of caramel?"
Stanley: "Exactly. You know you are the only one that gets that, right?"
Darlene: "I know, Stephanie likes it the same way sir. Did you want anything Abby?"
Aberash: "No thanks, my smoothie is plenty."
Stanley and his employees continue at a decent pace for the rest of the day, at about fifteen minutes before closing time Samuel came walking in with a cast on his upper body. "Mr. Baker?" The pained skunk called out.
Becky: "Uh, what are you doing here? I thought that Aberash had you for lunc-"
The large Boa Constrictor was cut off before she could finish her sentence.
Samuel: "She was going to, but my check came through right as her mouth close around my head. I'm here to pay off my depts. Now can I see Mr. Baker?"
Becky: "Yes, you may. He just finished his last appointment for the day."
Samuel then met with Stanley and handed him the cash, to be done with this mess.
Stanley: "Kind of surprised to see you Samuel, sorry for the cracked ribs."
Samuel: "Whatever, do I owe you anything else?"
Stanley: "No, we are all squared away. Come back anytime."
Samuel: "Never again will I borrow from you, you deranged dog. Your secretary tried to eat me!"
Aberash: "I am not a secretary you little twerp, I'm a collection agent!"
Stanley: "Woah calm down, the both of ya! Now everything is squared away."
It was closing time, everyone was heading to they're respective homes except for Darlene and Stephanie.
Stanley: "Be safe girls. You know mom will worry if you stay out after the town curfew."
Stephanie: "I know dad, we'll be careful."
It was 6:01 when Stanley pulled in his driveway, his wife walked out on the porch to greet him. "Hey honey! Did you get stuck in traffic?" The chubby corgi asked.
Stanley: "Heh, yeah. That skunk finally paid up, I'd about given up on seeing that cash again."
Cordelia: "Yay! Oh, I made your favorite dish for dinner. My lasagna and stuffed peppers!"
Stanley picked her up and spun her in his arms. "I love you darlin, I hope our kids find happiness like we have."
Cordelia: "Me too honey, but shouldn't you put me back down? You'll hurt your back again."
Stanley: "Don't worry about that, Danielle patched me up so I can't mess it up again remember?"
