where have you been??? what is with this abysmal upload frequency???

i ain't dead yet, so i wanted to drop in a small update
frequent art block aside, i have quite a bit of stuff to upload and waaaaay back on my backlog now
it feels impossible to keep up sometimes cause my brain is all over the place and i question if people even still enjoy my content or want to see it anymore
sometimes a slow death of my profile feels like the right thing to do, but also i do miss sharing my artwork a lot
it stinks to feel out of place and on top of that i have my own gripes for like how furaffinity works these days (an art and medium sharing website that makes you pay to upload high quality is such a joke, even deviantart didn't stoop that low when i used it)
its especially tough for me, an artist who uploads a lot of transparent images - cause it shoots it in the foot and transparent stuff is also not that easy to resize if you could believe it
whenever i do come back i plan on doing a bit gallery sweep and fixing my folders, its been a long time and a lot of stuff has gotten misplaced over the years so i wanna fix it
i hope to catch up one day though
i appreciate the support i get all the time with watches and favorites sprinkled in a lot! ;w;
it means the world to me to know that even while inactive people are seeing my stuff and enjoying it enough to follow for a chance to see more

Not only do they make you pay now, but it used to be that there was a bug that let you reupload higher quality images... which has been "fixed". All while making fun of Twitter Blue... and offering the same exact thing.
Add into that that the site has been around for nearly twenty years now and they still haven't actually done basically anything folks have been asking for (Tag Blacklist, even if it's only for the main page, hello?), I don't blame you for being a bit miffed.
Regardless, I'll still point folks at your page if they want good art, because damn it, it's good art.

Yeah, its all really shoddy work all around
A hosting website like this is doing more to oppress artists than empower them and its really sad
Like the max upload size is 10MB here???? and maybe more if I pay
but for free over on deviantart they offer 80MB out the gate
its insane that you have to sacrifice work quality to that level on a website like this
but also thank you so much still for your support over the years

Honestly, you might be best off using another major site and migrating over there. A real image host, not... Twitter. Twitter is horrible for art. Unfortunately, FA has the same syndrome as Youtube does right now where it's so big and popular it can get away with this sort of thing.
The only other options are basically e621 and Inkbunny at the moment, I fear, although you have to measure if those are the varieties of folks you want to engage with given what is/isn't permitted, and local patterns of behaviour with e6 being more of a booru than anything (e6 also get scraped by Rule34 which has a takedown policy of "sue us, lol"), so it's a hard choice to really make.
