Another set of archive images I'd forgotten I had...

Back when I was inking webcomics for Oren Otter, he drew up a number of character poses, which I then inked and polished, of Room For One More cast members fashioned in full Lakota Sioux dance regalia, after the tribal dance festivals held in the reservation district of Manderson near Wounded Knee. If you ever get to see such a festival, it's quite an extraordinary and impressive spectacle if you don't find the constant drum rhythms overpowering.

Fnaire the anteater here is performing the traditional shawl dance.

(Don't call them 'costumes', BTW; apparently it's not considered polite, and the word doesn't really do justice to the level of time, creativity, tradition and history that goes into making each one. This is the real deal we're talking about here.)
