Being a paladin doesn't mean you can't be clad in black leather and wield chain. It does mean you have to make sure you maintain your noble mindset... which actually doesn't exclude being a badass, so long as you don't throw the first punch and you give quarter when asked (unless the opponent is a demon/devil).
