i have a hard time separating aeromorphs from american fascism, which is why i avoided getting into them for a long time, despite enjoying their designs.
i associate aeromorphs with muscular hyperinflation too. theres something about the aeromorph figure that reminds of me the fascist "ideal human form" fantasy. being completely impermeable, a perfect tool that has one purpose - destruction. the idea of an aeromorph fetishizing body building competitions because they represent a more "rudimentary" version of themselves is interesting to me.

wow, are aeromorphs considered fascist now? you learn something new every day i guess...
i might not like the hyper aeromorph scene and have gotten into a lot of hot water bitching about them over the years, but fascist is not something they are. their only crime is ruining the reputation of the anthropomorphic airplane community by spamming the internet with their shallow, uncreative, cookie-cutter designs and making the whole world think wsache007's style is all thats out there.
i'd only use the word "fascist" to describe the hyper artist's attempts to be the only style that people think of whenever the word "aeromorph" is mentioned online. but ultimately, at their core, aeromorph artists (even the hyper ones) are simply aviation enthusiasts, that is what they truly are, and what aeromorphs are a manifestation of

hey mastersharkplane, thanks for your civil comment. a major reason on why I got into aeromorphs was your artwork on deviantart, and I still cite it as a personal inspiration.
I would like to clarify that my descriptions are my own personal ramblings (because I don’t perceive an audience on furaffinity and this seems befitting for that), and not intended to evoke a reaction from the audience. when I say something is “fascist” - I do not mean it in a political way - I mean it in a “catch-all” euphemism for something that my body of work explores. yes, political fascism is a part of what I refer to when using euphemism, but I mean fascism in the deleuzian/anti-Oedipal sense.

cant say ive ever read the work you're referring to but it sounds intriguing to say the least, heh, had to look that one up XD but still, i wouldn't consider comical caricatures of patriotism being depicted in the context of hyper aeromorphs as nationalistic/fascist though, so im glad you've separated those two notions. aeromorphs have so much creative potential people can explore if they decide to draw them...rather than just emulating one person's style from 10+ years ago like the hyper aeromorph crowd does ._. seems like we were kinda on the same page then, heh
but...i have been hearing rumors about hyper aeromorphs being used as a covert psychological operation by the CIA to get people sexually interested in military aircraft so they could boost enlistment XDXD have heard similar rumors around Ratbat's dire machines in Russia too, so who knows XD i just think that made for a good greentext on 4chan, nothing more....but the idea of a powerpoint presentation existing somewhere explaining aeromorphs to a bunch of high ranking military officers is genuinely hilarious to me x3 meanwhile both the white house and the kremlin look at my planes and collectively go BWAAAGGH!!! my eyeballs! D=
oh man my DA, heh, yeah ive been noticing a lot of my old stuff has been getting something of a second life over on twitter XDXD has been nice cuz for the majority of the time i was active on DA people were just making fun of my stuff on other sites x3 am glad people are seeing something they like in my old work though, even more so if its inspires people to get into aeromorphs/living planes themselves ^^
