I’m sure most, if not everyone, remembers the days where creativity freely flowed regardless of what artistic tools you may have had available. You truly cannot get more ‘Outside The Box’ thinking than when your thought processes were not weighed down by [u]rules[/that were enforced by society to ensure you ”Followed the flock” to ensure an established ‘Status Quo’ remained in place.
This is why it is nice to see our preschool-aged pal, Yosh, delighting in what his imagination insisted on him getting out to share with everyone and anyone who would be around to see it. A green crayon doodling over a magenta-colored piece of construction paper / cardstock may not appear how the older kids, mom, dad, or anybody else who may have long been trained to not use this particular combination of materials to share their thoughts, or ideas. However, four year old Yosh only cares about getting his ideas out in a way that doesn’t result in him getting his beak held shut for quacking on and on and on and…
Yosh may be far from being just like children who are a few months away from starting Kindergarten, but he is happy, thoughtful, and very excited to show his friends and family what new ideas he’s come up with based on all he has been told, seen, heard, and experienced. Sure he is going to require an accelerated potty training program to meet public school requirements to stay close to his friends, like Nishi Gonzales, but that time is not now.
