"Pokémon: The First Movie" was one of the first pocket monster projects I was introduced to as a kid. I've often encountered a lot of people's dislike of old full-length Pokémon movies, but I started my introduction to this universe with them, not games, anime series, or cards like many people did. Perhaps that's why my love for them still burns brightly within me. "Pokémon: The First Movie" definitely won my childhood heart with its fun, amazing world, and even sadness (the moment with the crying Pikachu still evokes the strongest feelings in me). And a special place in my heart, I think, like many, belongs to little Mew and his restless "brother" Mewtoo. I don't like their later appearances on the big screens, but their appearance here will forever be in my memory and part of my eternal love that I wanted to convey through this art.
