The character tou see is former scout trooper turned mercenary and he goes by the name Dax though most known him for his Alias, the Aether. Wanted to make a non-force user Oc, so i went with mercenary & bounty hunter. But instead using Mandalorian which often used as much as jedi and sith, i went with imperial scout trooper who defected from the Empire and instead of joining the rebels became a hired gun. The Following is a description done by artist to explain the armor
"OK, so here's a first stab. it owes a lot to some of those shoretrooper sketches and the original scout armor, though bulked up a good bit. It keep the scout visor and brim, but has some of the OG trooper to the lower faceplate and has a curved covering backside like the OG style. There are a number of places on the armor with venting, so it's not a sealed pressure suit, but it allows for it to be much more comfortable in any environment. With the bulked up lower portion of the helmet that can be connected by hose to a small tank at the top of the back, the trooper can breath in hostile or submerged conditions for a limited amount of time. Vibro knife on left upper arm, magazine pockets across the chest. The "long coat" portion at the upper legs is reinforced, especially in the back, to deal with heat and blast from the backpack. comfy boots with good footpads, small arms reload on the long coat portion.
The rifle is a standard e10, though it's been modified and ends up looking a bit like the actual shore trooper rifle. But given desertion the original model is the most likely equipment. There's an underslung rail that in this case has a tethered harpoon system, though that could easily be a mag-line launcher or single shot rocket weapon depending. But given the underwater ann flying ability i thought a tethered harpoon likely best for most situations. The jump pack required a lot of strappings to be added at various places on the armor, since it's very likely not original empire issue and came after the fact. It's primary nozzles are mounted low, requiring the extra back covering, but give decent performance relative to the trooper's center of gravity. though taking off and landing likely look somewhat out of control as the trooper leans back to put themselves "on top" of the thrust. They're maneuverable as are the smaller shoulder height thrusters, for fine control. The vents on either side of the main engines are there to release heat suppression gases when taking off or landing.

While its been awhile when little i read some of the legends novels and storm trooper in the novels weren't as bad as what depicted in the movies and cartoons. So the duraplast armor isnt totally useless, though i do imagine him modifying the armor over the years and maybe even reinforcing the armor with other material to make it better.
