During my vacation to Arizona to visit  TonyaSong we went hiking on a mountain trail in Phoenix on my last day. This is an approximate representation of what the hike was like. I was so impressed with how she was able to traverse the terrain with no problem (and no shirt on) and though I was (and still am) slightly out of shape, I was determined to keep up with her. The view from the top is what really made everything worth it. The tossing off of my shirt here represents my embracing of my own Native American heritage. Tonya has taught me so much since I met her and this visit was one of the major highlights of my life. I so can't wait to go back to Phoenix again someday!
