You know, I'm genuinely not sure where Mara's story is going here. I mean I'm pretty sure I know what'll happen to Virmir and Lucille, they always get back to the status quo somehow (I mean Lucille's not a Malarith anymore, though Virmir does retain his dragon thing... sometimes?) and since I'm pretty sure they're happy to be rid of Mara they won't even remember her unless they crash into each other again. If Mara keeps getting dumber and stronger she might not even care to get back to her own time.
Or she might accidentally get caught up in whatever they use to get back to the present (maybe frozen in ice?) and be comically despairing that she had to leave this tribe. Yeah I'm invested, or at least interested, in Mara's story here especially if this is the (at least temporary) exit for her from this series.
But since this is a gag comic I suspect she'll be back to squatting on Virmir's land by the end.
