Er, I'd be afraid to ride on one of these. It's be like riding in a box!

the air intake was partly hype to emphasis the fact that they were air conditioned, when that was still something fairly new. grey-line scenic tours used to operate a fleet of these things in the mid 50s. also the pointy end in the back isn't "reverse" aerodynamics. it's right where it needs to be. aerodynamics is eliminating the vacuum bubble that forms at the rear. not that ground vehicles normally reach speeds at which that's really as much of a factor as it was once hyped to be either.
now i don't usually care all that much for things with rubber tires that run on pavement, but this IS a 'classic'.
i'm not sure who manufactured them or much else about it. i remember seeing, fleets of them, as mentioned, as luxury extra fare sight seeing carriers.
i'm not sure if i ever rode in one back then either. might have, once. probably not though.
i'm pretty sure they gobbled lots of diesel. might make a great and unusual motor home where it not for that.
parts are probably made out of unobtainabilium though. just as a guess. unless one had a machine shop to make their own.
