This is the result of me asking for two things from Blur - A commission that focused primarily on perspective (thank you for accepting the challenge ♥) and a favorite outfit of mine >//>
I absolutely adore the outcome of this one ;_; Blur managed to do a perspective that makes it look like you're looking down to her from above, and she's peeking up at you and smiling. UGH it's so well done! There's something that I love so much about looking down from above at cute characters, it enhances their cute and small aspects so much!
I immediately thought that this scene could be the result of someone hearing a TV in another room flick on way too early in the morning accompanied by some muffled chatter and sound effects. They get up out of bed all groggy and come to investigate and get met with this look and smile ;_; It was done a while ago, but if I had added one thing to this I'd have asked for her to be holding a blankie that was trailed behind her, as if she just got out of bed herself and plopped herself down to catch her favorite show...something I uncharacteristically did (minus the babie slant) before school to catch the Pokémon anime as it aired at 6AM, which is an ungodly time for me of all people to be waking up at, but I guess that's just a testament to the power of Pokémon. (Funny I used "ungodly" as a descriptor here because I remember there being a very "churchy" show that aired before it.)
Speaking of additions, this isn't actually the first version, it was this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51921591/
I saw the first version, and the lighting and shadows made me think of an early morning scene similar to what I described up above, and asked if we could shift the colors over to match that a bit better. I wasn't expecting there to be much in the way of a colored environment at all, but Blur, being the sweetie he is, of course obliged rather quickly, and here we are ^.^
The only downside for this version is that the lighting no longer contrasts with her eyes and they kind of blend in with the colors surrounding them. They're actually a very good representation of how I imagine her eyes to look in a lit environment in the other version, and I NEED to show off the excellent work that was put into them so please check it out :D
Ahem - That all aside we see my new favorite plushy here, Ducky. Ducky was "given to me" by Erickiwi-adopts and I immediately fell in love. Penelope canonically has a toucan plushy that she's had since she was just a baby, and while toucans may be her favorite animal I think I'm going to start getting Ducky here featured as her favorite plushy! It's just so cute and huggable, and I love its persistently sleepy expression! There's something about yellow ducklings that's just so perfect for soft babie themes ♥
Also we uh...see a return for my "favorite outfit." It's really not much of an outfit, but I love how carefree and simple it is. There's something so endearing about being able to go around (in your own house at least) like this and not have to worry about anyone judging it or the like. It's just cozy, comforting, carefree...what other C's can I cram in here - crinkly, convenient, cute! You get the picture >.>;
Also uh, yeah hi again! I fell off the world for a bit there but I'm back! I built up a BIT of writing fatigue from posting all those commissions I guess, but I'll try and catch up again! Hopefully the cycle will not repeat ^.^;

I KNOW! This was done a while ago too so he's undoubtedly even better now :D Perspective is such a difficult thing to do well in art, I'm so happy he accepted the idea...and I hope he didn't feel like he was pressured to do so x.x
Either way, I think his art is super cute even going way back. He's had it for a long time, and even though he's definitely getting better at techniques, I still think his art soul has and always will shine brightly :3

I hope shes not sitting too close to the TV~ she gonna get square eyes if shes not careful XD
its such a nostalgic scene I remember doing the exact same when I was a child getting up early to catch the early morning cartoons >w< though PJs were a must... i dont think i'd have gotten away with that choice in attire XD!
Pokemon was a Saturday morning thing for me >x< never had cable or satellite TV growing up so I was stuck with terrestrial TV (classic british '5' channels BBC 1BBC2 ITV Channel 4 and Channel 5) if memory serves orginally Pokemon was exclusive to ITVs saturday morning childrens show 'SMTV live' (and later 'Moms the word') and was on around 8:45. Digimon on the other hand... that was monday, wednesday and Friday on ITV during the 'kids period' at 4

She actually has really terrible eyesight, so, she's absolutely sitting right up against the screen XD Honestly in most cases I think she'd get more by listening to the sound effects than trying to follow along with the screen.
I agree about the PJ's bit, I really loved mine! Footy PJ's were the BEST back when I lived in a colder climate, and even the two-piece sets I had were really nice! This outfit here is...admittedly purely indulgent on my behalf, but it's still cute :D
Oh heck I don't remember the channels, I just know they aired this thing at 6AM on weekdays, and that alone was motivation to get me out of bed...otherwise I'd be snoozing minutes before we had to leave for school XD Pokémon was also during middle school for me so this scene is a bit of a mixture of eras for me. Childhood PJ's and blanket Saturday morning cartoons absolutely were a thing that I was all about though...maybe I'll get that scene done too sometime :3c

Hmmm, you sure it didn't go something like this:
Parent - "Penelopebun we need to talk about pottytaining/diapers."
Penelopebun - Looks back at the parent distraught.
Parent - Breaks down looking in to the bunny's eyes "You can stay in your diapers forever."
Penelopebun - Hugs/glomps the parent her puff of a tail wagging, it was super adorable.
