They're like marker/airbrush. They were an As-Seen-on-TV item several years back, then started showing up in retail stores. You literally blow through them (or there's a foot pedal now, I think) and it splatters ink everywhere. :D

It can be messy, but I don't care if my art desk gets splattered up or whatever ;)

Whenever I use blo-pens, I usually cover the characters with white painters tape, then cut all around the outside lines, so it's just the characters that are covered and the background is exposed. It takes a while, and 9 times out of 10, there always seems to be an area I forget to cut to expose >.< But the effect is so worth it =D
