A strange rash of disappearances has begun around the small town of Bakersville. The only connection between them being that all of the missing persons have been young women generally on the heavier side. The police have been of little help in the whole ordeal, not being able to spot, let alone catch the vile perpetrators.
The Baker siblings tried to make any connections the police hadn't seen as of yet. They came to a disturbing realization, ten of the eleven missing girls were prey species...
Surely with today's modern advancements no one had been harvesting these young women as a food source, there had to be another explanation. And it was up to them to solve this problem.
An underground slave market? A predator cult searching for tasty victims? A deranged chubby chaser, looking for a harem?
Danielle: "What are we going to do with all this information?"
Todd: "I don't know right off, you think it might have to do with that group that moved into the old Jenkins place?"
Danielle: "Who's that? I haven't left my lab this week."
Stephanie: "Appeared to be a crocodile, a cougar, and I couldn't make out what the third one was."
Danielle: "Pretty sure it'd take more than three to cart off and hold nearly a dozen women."
Todd: "It feels like the police aren't even trying to find them."
Danielle: "I'm sure they are doing they're best, but if you insist on interfering with police business I guess I have no choice but to help you."
Todd: "Great! Got any gadgets or doo-dads that might be of service here?"
Danielle: "Only if you promise to never say the word doo-dad again."
Todd: "Fine. What I'd like to know is how they managed to cart of Kichaa and Kuponda?"
Stephanie: "I don't know but Kito is absolutely distraught, but she's not having much luck tracking them either."
Todd: "Whoever it was, they got Anya too."
Stephanie: "Good! Maybe they'll turn that sow into a bearskin rug."
Todd: "Stephanie! I know you don't like her but isn't that pretty harsh? Had things of gone differently she'd be your sister-in-law by now." Stephanie: "You mean to tell me you were going to marry that monster?!"
Todd: "Don't you dare call her that! I I had the ring and everything planned out."
Meanwhile underneath the old Jenkins place the women were alive but hardly well..
They had been kidnapped, stripped down, bound up tightly, with feeding tubes forced down their throats to make sure they packed on more weight for what was going to be their fate. They were going to fattened up for slaughter, a predator's banquet held by a lioness.
Katili: "They are coming along so well. If I didn't need all of you for the party we're throwing, I'd rip you apart right now my dear."
Katili said trailing her claw down the bloated side of Kichaa. "Or maybe that well fatted sister of yours."
She turned to Kuponda with her fangs glistening in the eerie light of the sound-proofed basement.
Katili: "Even if your wife knew where you were, she could do little to help you."
Kuponda tried to bellow in retaliation against the alpha predator, but was stifled by the gag/funnel apparatus.
She took the wedding ring from Kuponda Pumzi's pudgy finger.
"It's not like you'll be needing these much longer anyway. Fret not I'll be sure they make it back to your widow."
Coug: "Personally I'm looking forward to a bear steak." She said groping Anya's loin.
Croc: "I don't care much about where it comes from, but that black doe is looking mighty tasty."
Katili: "There will be plenty of meat by then girls, I grabbed a skunk boy for you to tide yourselves over with. She threw Samuel to Croc. "Why don't you show our guests what's going to happen to them?"
Samuel: "Please no, no, I'll do whatever you want just please don't do thi-" He was silenced as Croc slit his throat in front of the girls, as he bled out Coug got the skinning knife to get him ready for the skillet. The room was soon filled with the scent of fresh fried skunk, before Croc and Coug shared a meal. The bound women looked on in horror at how casually the pair dispatched him.
Croc: "Mighty tasty, not much meat on him though. Can't wait for some dark meat." She said eyeing up the black doughy doe she had tied up and gagged in the corner.
The soon to be prey were an odd crew all things considered, two hippo sisters, a bear, three fat does, an elephant, a reindeer, and a trio of obese rabbits. Katili decided to remove the funnel from the slowest growing of the bunch, a pudgy pachyderm by the name of Jessie.
Jessie gasped for air before saying to her captor, "Why are you doing this?! We aren't food!"
Katili: "My dear girl, that's ALL you are and all you've ever been good for. As to the "Why?" we are holding a carnivore party in three days. Preds are coming from all over to pay for some real meat."
Jessie: "W-what about the stuff from the labs? You know the stuff that lets carnivores have red meat without killing anybody?"
Katili walked around the room and trailed a claw along Kuponda's tattoo. "You mean that trash? It doesn't compare to the real thing, nowhere near as juicy and you can't taste the fear in it."
Hearing that made Anya sick to her stomach knowing this monster was right, having tasted real meat before.
Coug chuckled: "Plus it's big business, we'll make a fortune off of your fat-asses." Before giving Kichaa a smack on her rear.
Jessie: "Why us, why here this is just a small tight knit town of simple folks."
Katili: "You just answered your own question, if we tried this in the city people would notice it, the police would have a better chance of catching us. Those bumbling oafs you call a police force couldn't catch a cold in an hail storm."
Jessie hung her head in sorrow and defeat as the funnel was replaced.
Croc: "Of course we'll keep some choice cuts for ourselves, I've been hankering for some venison."
The pred trio headed back upstairs to make sure everything was prepared for the party, the pots were spotless, the tablecloths have been ironed and pressed before being immaculately decorated. The auction block for the morbid trophies was set up, and the girls were gaining against their wills in the basement. The time was ticking by and they were running low on hope.
The town's police had found a few leads, but it didn't turn up anything more than a moonshine still run by a raccoon.
While Todd and Danielle had been working independently taking note of the last known locations of the missing women, and working towards a central location for them but having little success. They seemed to have been picked up at random, they went around town asking folks if they had seen anything suspicious.
Finally getting to a young rabbit who said he saw a crocodile dragging something into the shabby house on the other side of town.
The only shabby place on that side of town was the old Jenkins place!
The pair immediately went to the police, the lead sounded so promising the sheriff temporarily swore the pair in as deputies to help out. Being corgis they could punch well above their weight class, though Danielle would be more of the brains in this operation.
Stephanie knew she wouldn't be much help on a stealth mission, so she went to try and console her friend Kito Pumzi instead.
Todd however was putting on his black suit to look the part of the hero, and to be inconspicuous as a carnivore showing up for the auction/party. He was ready for this, with a bullet proof vest he borrowed from the police station under his suit jacket and a few smoke bombs around his waist and a pistol on his hip along with a wire to pick up on the communications going on inside.
Danielle: "Are you ready yet 00 doggy? You look like you walked out of a low budget spy flick."
Todd: "I don't know whether to be insulted by that or not. But that's not important right now. I just hope we aren't too late, seems my little buddy Samuel has gone missing too."
The sheriff a thin, off white German Shepherd by the name of Jody Wednesday came over and straightened Todd's tie before telling him the following. "Now are you sure about this? You know you could be risking your life if this goes wrong right?"
Todd: "I am, I don't care what happens to me ma'am if it means getting these folks out of harms way."
He turned and gave his sister a tight hug, and whispered in her ear. "If something happens to me, please take care of Mom and Dad. I love you sis."
Danielle: "I will, I've seen you come back from worse. I love you too bro."
It was nightfall, day of the the morbid banquet that was to come. The guests had arrived, wealthy carnivores from far flung places.
Lions from Africa, a tigress from India, even wolves from Europe were in attendance.
Todd donned a British accent to seem as though he too was from out of town to blend in with the other carnivores. He caught a glimpse of Anya, and it took every fiber of his will to keep from breaking character and rush to her rescue.
Knowing full well that if he did they'd likely slaughter the girls then and there along with him, before the officers could even get inside. He'd even managed to strike up a conversation with the feast's benefactor a wealthy lioness by the name of Katili Mrembo.
She was as cruel as she was beautiful, by her appearance and the way she carried herself you'd think she was the epitome of high society and class not a bloodthirsty monster planning on ripping apart the young women up on the auction block.
Todd: "So, if you don't mind me asking why did you get another predator for the auction?"
Katili: "To put it simply my dear boy, from the way she moved I could tell that this ursine would have some of the most decadently marbled fat under that pelt of hers."
Todd: "I'd say so, but aren't prey species usually better for meat?"
Katili: "Generally speaking yes, but you were at the last auction and bought a nicely fattened wolf girl, right Alex?"
Todd was confused, had she mistaken him for a former customer? Who is this corgi named Alex? It didn't matter at the time, but he tried to play along to keep up the charade. He couldn't summon the police yet, the lioness was too close to him right now.
Todd: "Yes, I did indeed buy her. She had plenty of meat on her, I guess I just didn't prepare her correctly."
It was time for the auction, the clock had struck midnight.
Katili: "Damn it! I was hoping we could catch up before the banquet. Good luck on getting what you want Alex, I have to head up there." She mussed up the fur on his head before taking her seat on stage as the auctioneer started the bidding on Kichaa. "We'll be starting with this hippo, do I hear $25,000 for this bloated beauty?"
The Indian tigress raised her sign immediately, it was at his moment Todd signaled for the police to raid the place.
Unfortunately for him, the officers in charge of receiving the message had fallen asleep. Meaning he was all alone in a room full of hungry predators with only a pistol and his quick reflexes to defend himself should trouble arise.
After about 10 minutes of heated back and forth she was sold to a wolf, he decided to wait until the auction was over to have her dispatched though.
The officer finally woke up, and they stormed the building guns at the ready as Katili's guards opened fire on the police.
Todd joined in on the shoot out, just trying to wound them to keep them from causing harm to the captured women.
As Katili tried to run off in the chaos Todd ran over and snapped at her ankles, causing her to hit the ground. As the police handcuffed her she said "Alex! How could you of all people turn me in?!"
Todd: "The name is Baker, Todd Baker." He went to help free the ladies from their restraints, after being freed Anya leaned in to give her old flame a passionate kiss. She and the other women were all free, if a bit heavier from the nightmarish ordeal.
