The Pegasus of Azanamas
Height: 22 Hands and Up (88 Inches/7.3 Feet and Up)
Coloring: Natural Horse Patterns with Bird Colorations for their Wings, Manes/Tails, Hooves/Horn and Mouths.
Features: Extremely light built bodies that are often heavily muscled on the backs and chests to help support the wings. Their hooves are fitted with a very soft pad at the Bottom Center of the Hooves (The Frog), these pads are slightly Hallowed Out and act like a suction Vacuum for the Pegasus to land on the cliffsides and mountains in which they live in. These Pegasus are not Herbivores, and have developed sharp canines and fangs to hunt down prey, they also feature a horn at the center of their foreheads, common shapes seem to be a forward half moon cresent with a prong at the back of the horn before it meets with the head. Because they live in the mountains most of the time they bear a very heavy, thick coat of fur to help keep them warm and their feathers are more built to withstand the cold.
Temperament: Extremely aggressive when it comes to the Stallions, and territorial over their lands. They are wild and often times unpredictable, if anything ventures into the territory of a herd of these beautiful creatures they are rarely seen coming out alive. It's not common to see a tamed Pegasus but there are rare cases in which one has been domesticated to the point of being docile and like a normal horse in behaviors. If tamed they are often very good for guarding lands and farms, because they are not afraid to kill invading wolves or predators that come into their territory.
Diet: Any sort of Meats, commonly while living in the Mountains the Pegasus will prey upon the Goats and such that dwell on the cliffsides. Going up and spotting a Kid, Ill, Weak or Old animal and diving down, giving a sharp rush of wind and knocking whatever they had attacked off the side and waiting for it to hit the ground before feeding. When food is scarce, it is not uncommon to see them brutally attack one of their own, a foal or older Pegasus is often times a target in a herd when there is little food around for them to feed upon. In many cases, due to the pushing back of the Dwarves and Humans... the Pegasus have been forced to attack and kill them for a source of food and in other cases due to being pushed out of their homes they have attacked the Harpies and even the Naga as well. Many races are in danger of becoming prey to these creatures the more they are pushed from their natural habitats.
