the really, REALLY old like 1920's film is probably the most symbolic, but it's not a talkie so it's rarely shown these days. they also did an anime version that wasn't half-bad (although it mostly overshadows the message of the film with the token romance for some reason) but everyone remembers this one the best for some reason.
