Cerberus Unit 03: Collie type. Code Name: Loc-in.
A specialized Beast unit built in collaboration between Europa and Artemis, Loc-in (a self given name) is a sniper/counter sniper and communications specialist attached to the UK's Eurotek humanoid/techanoid special forces. One of the best shots he often bragged about being able to shoot the balls off a fly from a mile away. And with his accuracy rating, chances are he probably could do so. Loc-in earned the reputation of only needing one bullet to take out a target, no matter what it could be. He is also equipped with an advanced sensor suite that can allow him to track down anyone in the world.
Partnered with a human handler, Loc-in and his partner Francis would be the best at what they did. However when a political official tried to bribe his handler into taking out a political rival, he refused. Shortly after, his handler was killed in a traffic accident involving 3 semi-trucks filled with gasoline. Loc-in was left alone since no one suspected he would have known of the task.
Not too long after, the politician was heading out of the country in his own private jet. Shortly after take off, his head was blown off by a high powered round going through the window. The plane landed shortly and Loc-in turned himself in from his position, nearly 1.5 miles away from where his target was killed. Apparently shortly after refusing the job offer, his handler contacted him and told him that he expected to die. If he did, the target would be the politician that offered him the job. Sure enough, once his handler was murdered, Loc-in tracked his target and suspected he would take a plane to flee. Laying in wait, he spotted his target and took the shot. He later gave evidence revealing the conspiracy and was spared termination, mostly at the request of the politician that was being targeted, and also by the Artemis Director, who came to the UK after discovering of the assassination as well as the kill shot that Loc-in made.
The Director offered the depressed a offer to get back at corrupt humans similar to the one that killed his partner, an offer that was at first refused. After some questioning, it turns out that his handler was also his lover. While human male and male type tech relations were not uncommon, usually it was because they were programmed that way by their owners. But Loc-in revealed that he chose that of his own free will, in a slightly similar fashion as he did in picking out his own name, as well as the actions for enacting his revenge. Realizing how much controversy it would cause for knowledge of a free willed Tech would cause, he claimed it would be easier for all to end his existence and request termination.
The Director refused. He explained to a surprised Loc-in that while he praises his free will, suicide is something that no one should do, be they a human or a tech. He also revealed a note from his handler that was sent to him shortly before his demise, literally begging that Loc-in be spared from termination, since that is usually the fate of Techs when they take a human life on their own. Realizing that, Loc-in took the director up on his offer.
On the records, Loc-in was terminated after assassinating the political official, despite the evidence that was revealed exposing the corrupt official. Off the records however, Loc-in is the squad sniper and communications specialist for the covert strike team Cerberus. He and his two team mates, which is he is quite friendly with, travel the world and eliminating dangerous individuals to make the world a safer place.
Notes: While at first it was thought that Loc-in was an openly gay unit, it turns out he enjoys the company of women as well, and on occasion uses female X-modules on himself to enjoy the company of men. He also claims those are his choices and not because of any programming he received. He enjoys annoying Bertha and teasing Rinty in their off time, but is a dependable team mate. He is also a terrible flirt, teasing everyone and anyone, male and female. Sometimes it's welcome, sometimes it's not. He once made the mistake of trying to hit on the Director, and nearly lost his head by a very jealous and protective Dusty. Oddly enough, he's spent some nights with that unit as well, though he hates to admit that she was always in charge. He gets along well with the Beast and Harpy squads as well and it's said he maintains contact with the Rogue unit Echo, only a friendly basis that is. In his off time he enjoys visiting rave clubs under the name of Colin. Has a strong dislike for politicians, for obvious reasons.
