Cringe is dead, post pony sona.

This is Cloverdew! He was a pegasus that was involved in a magical body-swapping incident with a Kirin. A collection of unicorns was trying to see if they could swap the bodies of two ponies. They succeeded! But the switch-back... didn't go right. Clover's appearance changed- his colors were muted, his mane grew out, his fur and tail grew longer, and his hooves became cloven. Among a few... other changes. [Why are his teeth so sharp...?]
Even though his community tried to be understanding and welcoming, he could feel everyone's eyes on him. One too many run-ins with some less-than-tactful ponies and griffins made him run off to a life alone in the forest. There, he began to raise herbs and other edible foods, which he started selling to the local ponies after a few years. He only communicated via mail, which made people cautious to come buy from him.
After he left, his demeanor drastically changed. He went from cheery and enthusiastic to emotionally stunted, terse, and short-tempered. Almost to an artificial extreme. He never sticks around delivery pick-ups long enough for anyone to get more than a few sentences out of him, so nobody knows why he went through a sudden personality shift.
Many chalk it up to his life alone in the woods. After all, a lone life does things to a pony.
But, surely he'd come visit the town if it was just a case of loneliness... right?
Perhaps there's something else going on beyond the trees, that Clover doesn't want anyone to know about.
What else could have changed in that unfortunate accident?
