beautiful place for it!!!

There's beauty then there's something else. I will always cherish the memory of a different beauty from Hawaii. I had a friend, on our ship, who was a Samoan form the island. We became friends... an odd sight though as I am 5'8" and 145 on my best day. He... well... was a real Samoan. Roughly 6 foot something and about 230-ish... no fat... all muscle. Anyways, when we ported there, he asked if I would like to meet the family and share dinner and I said, hell yes. Realize I come from a decent sized family... 6 brothers and sisters... and aunts and uncles and all those things. But it couldn't compare to that "dinner". I have no idea how many there were but I know I never met all of them... there were too many... and even the kids were bigger than me! The food was so good and we sang (I learned some native words!) and everything you could imagine. It was like being in another world... a different culture... but all good loving people. A memory I still cherish of a Hawaii most never get to see.

alas, no, just that I had caught it fairly early in the day and while it was quiet out, there was still people. There are beaches where there arent though!

Ahh, I can imagine myself walking alone peacefully, reflecting on a lot of things in life.

This place, this island in the sun, did certainly help me do that. Thoughts thought, and I am at peace. It really reset my being. Need to do more of this.
