As of March 27th, 2023 at 8pm Eastern Daylight Time, the Nintendo eShop for the family of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U systems are officially closed. It was a good run for the eShop to be frank. During the 3DS' lifespan, it would always be great to hop online when ye were ready to buy a new game and it would usually feel cool about it. Even if ye had an sd card, just filling it up with wonderful games and memories always just made me day. It's sad to see such a beloved service go, but we have the great moments we made while it lasted.

Treasure the 3DS you have, the NNID that you have, all the downloaded games you've got on the 3DS and even more so treasure the rare eShop only games and DLC attached to them. You WILL not get more of those as of now and if your 3DS gets lost or damaged, most of those games may not be recovered and all of the DLC you have will be gone for good.




say... ye started homebrewing your 3DS and Wii U consoles, but the feeling isn't just as authentic and cherishable.
