Soulseeker home is in dark places. atleast in this world. Else they live in a dark world. they prefer to live in the darkness. they also hunt during nighttime but if they have a master they go by his or hers orders. simple as that.
they mostly dont want master. only time someone can be their master is when they decide to folllow that person.
