Some ink work that I finished today, a companion piece for this old bird: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4240872/
Someone expressed interest in have these two as a pair, one facing the other. So, hopefully they'll come back after I have this framed and buy the pair of fowl. I call them Brothers because they both look like they have attitude and they probably fight with each other too. ;)
So, "crow" me a river and wish me some luck. Brother one is already framed, brother two will be matted and framed this weekend.

Hey there, gatorness. Much thank thanks! Well I wasn't really planning on coloring this. It's pretty much a full sized sheet of Bristol and I am going to frame it (like his brother is framed)...just a simple black and white pen and ink, a throw-back from the past as only I can do it. X)
Actually it was a customer that came into the office where I work. I have some of my framed work there on display....and then some of my other pieces are on loan to our public library now. She has a month to come by and claim it....if not? You wanna buy some cockerels? All framed and ready to hang I might add and I'll charge the same price that I quoted her (though shipping them might add a bit to it...if it comes to that). I'm honored that you'd even think about it, sweet cockerel-trice stud. ;)
You might do more than one of these, as there are many more than one type of chicken. once knew a black and white banded rooster what was ornery has heck. your first encounter with him would be a peck at the back of your leg. and he would have his wings out, and ready to fight you. didn't matter that you towered over him, you had to Go!
((Once again I am terribly sorry for the delay of this well deserve but humble comment, my most sincere apologies!))
My oh my, where to begin... maybe I could start with the rooster itself. Now doesn't he look just proud like that? This big, fluffy and soft-looking feathery collar of his almost makes him look if he was puffing himself up to impress the ladies! And what about this tail? It's truly gorgeous! It's the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae!
And I must say dear friend that your hand-drawing techniques are simply breath-taking, as usual. Everything is so accurate and perfectly detailed! Bravo, bravo!

Woot! Much thanks indeed for that very high praise, dear Martin. I'm humbled by your words really. He is truly a proud bird and cocky, those tail feathers flying like colorful banners to proclaim his potency and virility. Ah to be a handsome cockerel.
*hugs* Your words are much appreciated.
