Hello,
Macros have a bad rep in this area, but the big Husky isn't a canine who indulges in such. It's one of the main reasons people besides his friend Beardsley are much too afraid to speak to or even be near him. He of course needs to eat something in order to survive, but smaller folk aren't on that list. It's not an easy thing to remedy, so all he can do is reassure and joke around on the matter to others to put em' at ease.
However his main goal in general or during the night when Beardsley chooses to sleep outside near him is to just affectionately protect/care for his closest friend. He always shows affection to him in any way he can and it's always reciprocated by Beards.
The small sleeping bag is all the little Australian Shepherd needs outside on a chilly night because the floofy Husky's companionship/body heat is warm enough :)
But actually don't look too much like a burrito though Infront the Husky, don't give him any ideas XD
I want to thank you for taking the time to not only read over these comic panels but also these descriptions. It means a lot to me and I hope I made you smile at least once. Feel free to comment anything that struck ya, I'll always respond :D
Have a wonderful day.

Neat little comic. :) But I was thinking...I see you're using very large brushes for the outer lines of your characters and wondered. Is this an active style choice you made? I mean, it makes your style very recognizable for one but I feel like in part using a variable thickness of lines might allow you to convey depth better. Like your last panel as an example. I think using thinner lines on areas that are further away and thicker lines on areas that are meant to be perceived as being closer to the viewer could increase the perceived depth, since he "is" quite large the distance between his head and tail would probably add up to quite the distance. 😁 This could also allow you to make your pages seem less "flat" even without shading. Maybe you remember this from my album cover. If I only use elements with straight lines or perfect circles, it quickly appears flat. But if you add some hand drawn scribbles with a tablet, suddenly there is contrast. ^^ Using different weights of lines can also can convey a lot of other things, like how thin lines can portray sharp things, like claws, or fragile items whereas thick lines more or less can portray the opposite.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I do deliberately outline the characters/backgrounds with a heavier line weight, I love the look and it makes things appear more vibrant. But I have recently - as you mentioned - been too heavy handed with this method and haven't really varied the lines much as I should when it comes to perspective and the like. It would definitely make the art much more dynamic, and awesome depth is always a plus in a drawing. Too I need to incorporate such in my sketches to begin with, that way it's conveyed much better. And in this situation specifically, properly doing so to show the big doggo's size is a must ha-ha.
Thank you for the constructive criticism, and I'm glad you liked this little trio of panels :D

I'm glad I was able to draw some wholesome comic panels, I wanted to get that idea across and it seems I succeeded in some degree!
He's a big softie at heart and wants to do good where he can. And oh yes, while it may not work at times if you're able why not try to help someone out instead of going directly into something negative.

I take a very negative and dim view of macros first because of the godlike syndrome they always have. I have been writing stories for a few years now, and they deal with humans/Furry’s and Furry‘s/Furry’s. I just do not understand why macros do what they do. I find it kind of insulting for other people who are in the fandom!
