Great track here! Nice and full, plenty of different sounds to fill everything out and keep the track from getting repetitive. Loved all of the basses (presets, or home-brewed I wonder?).
Your little melodies you throw in are amazing. i notice you do that in every track :P It's a great way to fill out the higher end, whilst giving the track some flare.
If I may offer a slight suggestion though; the drums could have punched through the track a little harder. perhaps some sidechaining would make it a little sexier :P
Overall great stuff here <3

Yeah, I'd also love to know if you think about "x type of sound would be good here" or if it's just screwing around and serendipity. ;) They always seem to come out pretty well balanced, generally without too much re-use, so either you have a good imagination, good ear, or just get lucky a lot. ;)
I also agree that either the drums or bass could probably have a little more "grab" although sidechaining (which I think I already hear in there? hard to tell with the envelopes on stuff) makes me want to strangle kittens, and/or go back in time and stab the guys from daft punk with a rusty grapefruit spoon. They did for sidechaining what Cher did for autotune, as far as I'm concerned. Yet both of those effects somehow remain enormously popular over a decade later.
