TF Not Included 12 - Half of a Ship
Art and Flux have a deep talk about the burdens of being a grumpypants. We set up some hydroponics bins, learn more about the pathogen, and figure out just what is up with the spacedock.
Welp.

Votes: Art Care(Day of Rest, Day of Party, Day of Accomplishment, Day of Cosmic Space, Suck It Up)
Flux Renovation((Forget All That, Beginning Life #2, Reincarnate, A New Goo)
Colony Action(Space Dock Airlock Pumps, Exploration-Feral Caverns, Elevator Rescue, Create TF Lab, Day of Party)
Research - Pick 2(Feral Caverns Analysis, Phosphorescence, Electrolysis, Filter Plants, Chem Lab Analysis, Space Dome Structure).
Phew! Work has picked up, with a long term stable contract. Things are looking better. Saving up money for a used car so I can actually drive places(gosh).

Well, I can't walk away from one of these without a vote.
Art Care: Day of Rest (with Day of Accomplishment as a close second). This seems like the most effective option from a psychological perspective. Forcing her to smile will be counterproductive.
Flux Renovation: Beginning Life Number 2. I can't explain it; it just feels like the best fit for what we're trying to do. That said, it feels wrong to do away completely with the old Flux; I'm generally not a fan of identity death.
Colony Action: Elevator Rescue. The Airlock Pumps should probably wait until we've completed the relevant research, and with Art taking a mental health day, the other two options are probably out.
Research (Ssam): Phosphorescence. My reasoning from last time still stands.
Research (Flux): Space Dome Structure. The Space Dome is valuable real estate, and its contents are probably valuable as well. This is a first step worth taking.

Well… The escapees are doing well, I’m sure we’ll see them again one day. I mean, we have magic, maybe if we find something with a Spatial teleportation ability, we can figure out how to make a magic-powered Space ship to catch up with them. One day…
…Oh right votes.
Art: Day of Rest, We… don’t really have the resources to do much of anything right now, but we do have old video games and a comfy bunk. It’s probably best to not let mental health slide in space and maybe have a day of party later on with more colonists, furnishings, and quality food.
Flux Renovation: I’m stuck between Reincarnation and Beginning life number 2 but I’m leaning more towards reincarnation for Flux.
Colony action: Create TF lab for our colony to prigress in Transformation

About as well as a pony and a feral cat can be in a spaceship that's not meant for them, awkwardly patched together, and stuffed full of stasis pods that drain all their power.
Which is to say they probably feel like Art does right now. Fixing one problem leads to two more, and while you're still better off, you'd rather not have the new problems happen either.
I'd definitely rate "pony without telekinesis" as one of the most awkward species to be in a spaceship(ignoring ones that wouldn't survive at all, like a goldfish).

Art Care: Day of Rest. It's the only one that seems like it is both helpful and not too expensive.
Flux renovation: A new goo. I like the idea of collaborating with him to make him the best sort of person he can be intentionally instead of just settling for what life happened to give him. If they were inclined to settle like that then when the virus hit everyone would have just given up and died, instead they figured out how to become fluffy.
Colony action: elevator rescue.
Research: Filter plants (Ssam) and Chem lab analysis (Flux).
Also, this wasn't a vote. But we should assign someone to build some sort of cylinder with the capacity to hold Flux while he sleeps, a sort of Flux Capacitor.

A flux capacitor would probably be a cannon that slowly loads as he sleeps in it, then discharges the contents upon waking up.
Also general nerding there IS no such thing as a flux capacitor in real life. Flux is essentially the rate of flow across a given plane, while a capacitor is a circuitry device that holds charge until it reaches its maximum, then discharges across a boundary. You cannot store flow, but you can store volume.

There's no such thing as a flux capacitor yet.
But if you induce an electric current in a superconducting loop it will keep going, which gives us a stored flow within an object. And we could measure this as the flow of current across an arbitrarily chosen cross section. Flux Capacitor! Technically, if you squint and don't ask too many questions like, "but why though?"
Still not sure how this gets us time travel either, but I'm sure it'll make sense later.
