Just finished up modelling the torso, legs, and tail, will be tweaking these a little once the full model is complete to give it some character.

Edit: Got a second wind and finished the arms. Gonna model the hands and hopefully the head by this weekend.

3Ds Max 2011, though some folks are modeling theirs in Maya 2011 too. I'm at least modestly proficient with both programs now :D

I never figured out how to properly model using that way. I've seen people somehow trace both ends with a line tool and somehow automatically form the object... or at least I think that's what happened...

That's how I made The Hunter's head, and it's how I'm plotting to make Basil's head too. Very quick and efficient.

I started with just a box, so "box modeling" is probably the method. "Spline modeling" is what i do for heads... dunno any videos offhand though.

Y'know, once SL comes out with their new viewer, you'll be able to convert this mesh into an SL model. Just sayin'. In theory, anyway. My Rooth'ragon model that Kalira9 did is in 3DSMax also. :)
