It doesn't take long for Lilian to warm up to new faces, especially when they happen to be ones of myth. Instead of running away or screaming in fear, the witch had merely smiled softly to the dragoness when approached. Whether it was due to her caring to know more about the story or just simply excited to try and make a new friend it didn't seem to matter. Amethyst was more than reluctant to show herself but eavesdropping on the feline in town had made her wonder if perhaps she could try to trust again.
Lily did most of the talking. Her energy was radiant and set a comfort to the scaled visitor seeing as she didn't have to say much at first. Tiny questions were asked such as her name and how long she's been around but only one of those could really be answered. The dragon never kept track of her years, not that it mattered. Her species were larger than any other beast, though she still was the smallest of them. Towering over her possible new friend didn't seem to bother the witch in the slightest. In fact, the feline seemed to admire the stature of her newfound friend.
"Wow, you're tall," was the whisper that came from Lilian when Amethyst straightened her back for the first time. Though, those eyes were filled with wonder, not fear.
Lilian had wasted no time in doing her best to make the dragon feel comfortable around her. When leading the way to her magically altered home, Lily held onto the dragon's fingers or wrist like a cub might do to guide their parent. There wasn't a sense of needing to keep her guard up or to be ready to flee either. Was it magic? Nay, the cat did little else than talk. As many questions as the adorable witch had, the dragon of myth had just as many due to her seclusion from others.
Stepping into the building had the horned girl duck beneath the door frame. Her tall figure and wings made her a little self-conscious yet Lily didn't stop on making her feel welcome. Ducking under another passage to another room led them into a sort of library or study. Books lined shelves and those shelves lined the walkway to the other end of the room. It was quite the impressive collection. Maybe the witch could teach her how to read the squiggles on the pages sometime.
The sudden thump against her head and horns had the dragoness wince and lower herself a tad while using an arm to move the small chandelier of candles out of her path. She wasn't worried of getting hurt but more of accidentally destroying a part of the kind feline's home. Still, Lily kept her smile and gestured to an area as she walked. Possibly where she kept a few of her more prized tomes.
"Sorry about that," Lilian said while allowing her new friend to get by the small obstacle. "I'll adjust my doors soon for you! It's a little spell I've made around the place to make accommodations where needed."
"Thank you, kitten," was all Amethyst, or rather Ammy as the witch called her, could say in return. Her northern accent quick to spot. A warm feeling had welled within her chest. Soothing and comforting.
As she was shown around, they learned a little more about each other. Big questions would be asked soon but neither pressed for them. In time, they would catch each other up on things in the world and more. It was something they could wait on.
For the moment, for once, Amethyst felt accepted.
