Realized I hadn't uploaded this here. This is as close to a reference as I have of this mare, Elly Longstride.
She's old, and has seen some.... stuff.
She's known for her perseverance and determination, which is the only reason she was able to stick with her crew and help finish the rail line to Appaloosa (things were rough for rail ponies in those days). She gets that from her Saddle Arabian mother, along with her gangly height. Now she helps make urgent deliveries for items that are too heavy for air mail, although she's not with the postal service.
