I got an interesting idea a little while back... photomanipulations where you superimpose models in... Twas thinking about doing it to try some TF photomanips. Sure, the texture work would be tricky for the CG model to blend with the anatomy of the subject in the photo... but on the same note, it would be much easier to tweak the light sourcing to match a photo using a CG prog than to do it by hand. and photoshop/gimp have some good tricks for adding grain and such to layers to make superimposed objects blend in...
Not really suggesting you try this per say;) but I will want to myself sooner or later, and I thought you might be interested in a little CG-chatter.
