Always loved Barettas. I'm lucky enough to have my grandfathers service pistol from when he was in the highway patrol.
Baretta 92sb with an WHP sereal number in addition to the factory original sereal number. (Wyoming Highway Patrol) it's such a pleasure to shoot.
He got it back in the days they had the opportunity to buy their old issue firearms when getting replacements. Not sure if many of them have that opportunity anymore.
I also have his old personal Winchester 1894 (1955) 30-30. He kept it in his patrol car in addition to the Remington police magnum issued by the highway patrol.
Brought back some good memories, thank you for sharing.

I’m finally just now reading this, it’s nice to know that I triggered that in you!
Simpler times, am I right or am I right?
My volunteer work is done now so my armory isn’t gonna feature anything “exotic” anytime soon unfortunately, but I might be tempted to get one of those now.
