Soooo, it's been months since I've submitted anything, I know. I have at least 3 more songs in the works, but this winter weather always turns me into a terribly lazy pooch. >_< But just so you all know, I haven't died, and I do have more music on the way. Possibly going to put together another CD this spring/summer, if there's any interest. But I'll discuss that in a journal, or something.
I've had this song written and waiting for a few small parts to be recorded since... early December, sometime. It's nothing spectacular, but I wanted to actually motivate myself to get SOMETHING done, and I thought a silly song like this would be best. I like a good Irish tune here and there, and so this is my pathetic attempt at catching that... idea, in a way. ^^

When I was a wee lad,
and with me mates I'd play,
they oftentimes went cross with me,
and surely they did say,
"How are ye the one in charge,
'tis cruel and 'tis unfair."
And though they'd truly liked a turn,
I truly didn't care.
(Chorus)
Oh no,
ain't nobody better,
that you'll ever see.
Oh no,
ain't nobody better,
in this world than me.
When I was a young man,
mother pulled me to her side,
and said "Me son ye'd best be soon,
a searchin' for a bride."
I told her straight "Me mother dear,
ye do not understand,
there ain't no woman in this world,
can handle this much man."
(Chorus)
As a man I found a lass,
or two I did adore,
and though I should have stuck with one,
I sadly did want more.
'Tis said no fruit looks better than,
the one ye cannot taste.
A monster I would be to let such,
fine fruit go to waste.
(Chorus)
Now I'm growin' older,
and the days they pass me by,
and in me age I hear the word,
that someday I may die.
Well this I cannot fathom, no,
this I can't allow,
for when I'm gone the world won't be,
as good as it is, now.
(Chorus)

I thought about doing some backing vocal stuff, to make it more "right", but I also didn't want to make it sound too cluttered. And, again, I'm a lazy pooch... *Snickerwoofs*
But thank you! I'm glad you liked it, Miss. *Wags happily* It's always good to know when I do something right.... ^^

*Snickerwoofs* Thank you, of course. ^^ I'm glad you liked it- I certainly had fun making it. It's nice to do something silly once in a while to break away from the "srs bsns" of other stuff. *Wags absently* And I tried to keep the accent... subtle, so as not to embarrass myself too much. *Shifty glance* But regardless, thank you for the favourite, as well. Always appreciated!
Hmm... I usually find myself listening to (and enjoying) stuff by the band "Quilty". Their albums "A Drop of Pure" and "I'm Here Because I'm Here" are both very nice, with a decent variety, and a great selection of stuff overall. I'd recommend those, at the very least. ^^
And yes, I'm still alive and wagging... *Glances back at his tail as it twitches* Winter months just always make me kind of "blah", but I've got literally hundreds of unfinished songs on my hard-drive, so I shouldn't run out of things to work on and submit anytime soon. *Winks* Thanks for listening, as always, hon. *Arfs!*

*Perks his ears* Well, while I'm certainly... flattered for the offer (and like most furs on this website, I'd love to get paid for what I do)... to be fair, you -can- download the song straight from FA here, for free. ^^ Just to the right of the "Add to Favourites" option is the option to "Download". So then you can have it and listen to it alllllll you want... without spending that hard-earned cash. Granted, for something as simplistic as this, I'd almost think it a waste of said money.
I'd encourage you to nose through the rest of my gallery, though really it's rather lackluster. Much of it needs redone, or just discarded in general. Still, comments from delightful individuals such as yourself help to remind and encourage me to get back to recording more. ^^
