My attempt at this week's Thursday Prompt. This week, the prompt was a visual piece and the goal was to make the image where the story starts. The image used was made by

Saw the image for the prompt this week and almost immediately got seven different ideas. Not sure if this is the most interesting option I had thought up as it needs a lot of work, but it was fun to write up regardless. I actually drafted this one with the intent of using it in my other story "The Darkest Oceans" at some point since that one actually started as one of my attempts for the Thursday Prompt.

I've more to come for this one, but I suppose I did leave this seeming a little bleak.
Perhaps a little more thought could have gone into Grace's little rescue mission, that's actually a note I do plan to build on when I go to expand this one.
