When I started my project to try an iPad drawing each day I was deep in the midst of copying from Walt Kelly's Pogo, and I thought, I should try some of that again. And not just drawing Albert Alligator, who's a fun shape, yes, and flexible. But I should try a character that's a little outside my usual range, and so here's Churchy La Femme, turtle, whom ... I still don't really have down. The pose is roughly copied from a panel in the Pogo strip of Sunday, 9 June 1963, but I bet there have been similar ones other days.
