Alex went through his mailbox and pulled out some envelopes. He browsed through them. "Bills, bills, bills." He stopped when he found an invitation to a party. "Hmm, I don't remember any mention about a party." He walked back into his house and opened the invitation.
Dear Alex,
I'm having a party at my mansion. You are cordially invited to join me at a party celebrating my birthday! Dress appropriately! The address is 1492 Sugardale Avenue. Arrive at 11:30 PM. Don't be late!
Yours sincerely,
M.M.
Alex didn't have much to look forward to, so he decided to accept the invite. Alex found a good pair of pants and shirt (he could afford) and drove over to the place where the address was. He looked out the car window and saw a building that read "Nancy's Antique Shop". Alex raised his eyebrow. "I wouldn't think the party would be hosted at a place where vintage stuff that could be easily damaged." He came to a thought. "Maybe this is where everyone is meeting before we got to the party." He parked his car and headed towards the shop. The sign read "OPEN". "Thank goodness!" Alex said as he entered the shop. Alex looked around at all the old stuff to buy and spotted the shopkeeper. He was sitting at a desk reading a newspaper with his feet propped up on the desk. He had a bored look on his face. "Is this where the party is?" Alex asked the man.
"Sure, kid." the shopkeeper said, not really listening or paying attention to Alex. Alex decided to look through the shop to see if he could find anyone. He migrated to the back of the room until he found an antique mirror that must have been at least 60 years old. He was about to walk right pass the mirror until the mirror's reflection shifted showing a humanoid white mink in a red evening gown. The background was a moonlit night in front of a large mansion. At first Alex wasn't sure if he was seeing things until the mink said, "Good, you got my invite!"
"Who are you?" Alex asked.
"My name is Minerva Mink. Like the initials on my invite."
Alex remembered the initials were M. M. "Oh, I get it."
Minerva continued, "Well, Alex, are you ready to come?"
"How do I get there? It's an image in a mirror." Alex asked.
"Just step right in." Minerva explained. "Piece of Cake."
Alex put his right foot into the mirror, and it passed right through. He fully entered the mirror and found the land he was looking at through the mirror. "Hello, Minerva, when the party is over, how do I get home?"
"There is a mirror at my manor that will take you home once the party is over." Minerva explained. She inspected him. "No, this won't do."
"But I tried to find something I can afford." Alex explained.
"And that's not good enough." Minerva said. "But I can easily fix that." She pulled out a bottle of perfume and sprayed Alex all over with it.
"What was that for?" Alex asked. His Adam's apple shrank, and his voice became higher pitched. His ears shifted to look like that of a mink. His hair grew longer. White fur spread over his shifting face as he grew a maw. The white fur traveled down his neck and down his arms and torso. His arms became slenderer, and he grew female breasts. His shoulders became more angular, and his hips widened. His male parts were now female. His legs were covered with the white fur and became slender. His clothes changed to that of a red evening gown.
"Woah!" Alex said looking at herself. "I look good!"
"There you go!" Minerva smiled. "You like it?"
"Yes, I love it!" Alex nodded.
Minerva handed her the perfume bottle. "This perfume will only last for a few hours. You can keep this to use whenever you want. Once you run out, you know where to find me to get more." Minerva smiled.
"Oh, thank you, Minerva!" Alex grinned.
"Just remember, it ain't easy being pretty!" Minerva quoted. "Now let's go inside, there is a chocolate fountain to dip finger food in."
"Happy birthday, Minerva!" Alex said.
"Thank you, Alex!" Minerva replied as the two headed over to Minerva Mink's mansion.
