Newly finished, and what a difference it makes to have fresh ideas to work with, instead of the usual fan commissions I've had to finish, like it or now, for the last few years. It almost makes me "interested" in my art again. The art is intended to accompany an article I wrote that compares the last two Ghostbusters movies. The first, all-female Ghostbusters film was a re-launch, and basically does nothing but use more and "better" ghostbusting tools, and repeats the story with a "dumb man" secretary. The second film has a female led, and certainly is "diverse" but doesn't need to make the guys look stupid. It also continues the original storyline in a way that breaks new ground, brings to a conclusion the story of the original ghostbusters, and still lays the ground work for possible future ghostbusting! In other words, there is a right way and a wrong way to make a "woke" movie, and "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" is definitely the *right* way! I agreed to illustrate the article for the British fanzine that will publish my article, and just finished the work this afternoon.
